A ventilation engineering project

In 2008, SCK-CEN began the complete conversion of VENUS for the GUINEVERE project which stands for "Generator of Uninterrupted Intense NEutrons at the lead VEnus Reactor." The project started in 2010 and since then the reactor is called VENUS-F.

CRC Engineering designed the ventilation system for this project (Guinevere - yellow zone, previously known as the Mira project) including CAV and VAV systems for the Venus Hall, Bunker, Lab 51 - 53, the control room and the accelerator room in order to maintain the subpressions.
